Carlee joined Voices Together in January 2022 as a board-certified music therapist. In this role, Carlee uses the VOICSS® model to foster communication, social and emotional skills. Her ultimate goal through music therapy is to support the autonomy and independence of each client.
Carlee is from North Texas. She graduated from Texas Woman's University with a Bachelors of Science in Music Therapy and completed her internship with Fulton County Schools in Atlanta, GA. In her previous role as a board-certified music therapist at Sound Starts Music, she worked with clients in private practice, the school system and community settings. In this position, Carlee primarily served clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder and intellectual disabilities focusing on communication, cognitive, behavioral and social goals.
Outside of music therapy, Carlee enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, Pudge. She enjoys exploring, concerts and festivals, trying new restaurants, and being cozy on the couch watching a movie or tv show.
Carlee is scuba certified and hopes to start diving more regularly now that she will live closer to the ocean!
