We’re proud to unveil our new brand video — a fresh look at who we are and what we do.
MoreAvery is a board-certified music therapist who joined the Voices Together team in April 2026.
With clinical experience in both private practice and medical settings, Avery is dedicated to
creating meaningful music experiences that promote coping, resilience and connection, while
supporting the whole person through music.
Avery earned her bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy, along with a certificate in Vocal
Performance, from Immaculata University near Philadelphia. She then moved to Lexington,
Kentucky, to complete her clinical internship with UK HealthCare, where she worked with a wide
range of populations, including adult inpatient mental health, adolescent behavioral health,
general pediatrics and babies in the NICU. With experience spanning both pediatric and adult
care, she brings a flexible, compassionate approach to meeting the unique needs of each
individual she serves.
After completing her internship, Avery remained in Lexington, working as a music therapist at a
local private practice. Her work spans a wide range of populations, including adults with
disabilities, individuals in substance use recovery, students in public schools and Head Start
preschool programs, private clients across the lifespan, and children, adolescents and adults in
inpatient psychiatric settings. Through this experience, she has developed a strong ability to
facilitate safe, engaging music therapy groups, thoughtfully adapt interventions to meet
individual needs and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to support overall
well-being.
Avery is excited to relocate further south to a community that aligns with both her personal and
professional values, and she looks forward to building her life and continuing her work in North
Carolina. In her free time, Avery enjoys reading, traveling, walking her dog Clara and spending
time with family and friends.
In college, Avery and her best friend music directed junior musicals together—some
