“I have gotten better at being patient while getting to use my passion for singing. It’s easy to make friends with everyone at Voices Together.”

Music Therapy in the Community: Finding Your Voice

At Voices Together, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to connect with others and grow. Our Community Programs deliver our unique VOICES Music Therapy™ model to individuals of any age. We help clients build and increase vital social-communication, emotional identification, and self-advocacy skills. These skills empower them to thrive in their daily lives. We are proud to offer a way for people to engage with their community and develop life-changing abilities.

Year-Round Community Programs

Our year-round community programs bring music therapy to convenient, communal spaces. We partner with local organizations like churches, YMCAs, and event spaces to host our sessions. These sessions meet once a week throughout the year. Because we prioritize individual needs, session lengths run approximately 45 to 60 minutes.

During each session, we focus on key developmental areas. Participants work on communication skills, promote speech development, improve social skills, and increase cognitive development. We also help them build self-advocacy. Our group sizes range from four to ten clients, with smaller groups for younger participants. Our therapists provide a predictable schedule. This helps clients feel safe as they express their thoughts and feelings. Participants learn and become more successful as they work toward their goals each week.

Summer Group Sessions

During the summer, we offer specialized group sessions. These groups meet twice a week for 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the group's needs and age. Our VOICES Music Therapy™-trained therapists help clients work on important goals. For example, they focus on communication, social-emotional learning, and self-advocacy. We encourage parents and workers to observe and participate, which depends on the client's specific support needs. You can find our COVID-19 safety protocol here, with recent updates. If you have any questions, please speak with your Voices Together therapist for group-specific details.

Community Programs Cost & Enrollment
