JoAnn Currie is a retired preschool exceptional children’s program administrator for the Guilford County School System. She currently works part-time at The Greensboro Montessori School as learning support for the toddler and primary divisions and is an avid supporter of Voices Together.

A Voices Together scholarship is named for Currie's daughter, Brenna Currie. The Appalachian State University student, studying to be a music therapist, passed away in 2013. The Brenna Currie Scholarship targets parents and classrooms that might not have the resources for a Voices Together program.

Currie and her husband Larry have hosted successful fundraisers in the Guilford County area for the past several years.
