Alexie Velez is a board-certified music therapist who joined Voices Together in May of 2022.

As a Voices Together music therapist, Alexie utilizes the VOICSS® model to work with clients as they foster their communication, socialization and emotional skills. She practices a non-directive approach and strives to engage clients in a way that fosters growth and development of these skills, while ensuring each client’s therapeutic experience is individualized to their needs.

Prior to her work at Voices Together, Alexie received her Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy at Appalachian State University. She completed her clinical internship at Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee, FL.

Outside of music therapy, Alexie enjoys spending time with her friends and family, drinking lots of coffee and finding new and exciting shows to watch!
