Voices Together

Allie is a board-certified music therapist native to the Greensboro area. She attended Queens University of Charlotte, getting her bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy before moving to Cleveland, Ohio where she completed her music therapy internship at The Music Settlement. Here, she led music therapy sessions for teens and adults with mental health, substance use and trauma disorders in both psychiatric hospital and correctional settings. After her board-certification, she moved to Colorado where she worked as a music therapist for a private practice working with children, teens and young adults with varying diagnoses. Allie is currently finishing her master’s degree in Music Therapy at Augsburg University.

Allie is thrilled to now be involved with Voices Together and a team of such creative and innovative therapists. In her sessions, she emphasizes the importance of communication, relationship and autonomy and has a special passion for working with children and adolescents and the process of supporting these individuals through the complexities of growing up. She firmly believes in the importance of individualized care and the therapeutic value of joy. When she is not at work, Allie can be found snuggling her three dogs, completing home projects or embarking on goofy and joyful adventures with her son and husband.
