MoreAyanna-Moné is a board-certified music therapist who believes it is her life’s purpose to help individuals reach their goals through music. She is excited to utilize the VOICSS® model to fulfill this purpose by working towards self-advocacy, communication, autonomy and other related goals with her clients.
Ayanna-Moné was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. They obtained their Bachelor’s degree in music from Bethune-Cookman University and their Master’s degree in music therapy from Florida State University. She completed her internship with Healing Hearts Music Therapy, a private practice in Tallahassee, Florida, where she also worked with clients post-internship. As a part of their team, Ayanna-Moné enjoyed facilitating bilingual group sessions for children 0-5 years and their guardians, sessions at various preschools with a focus on the 5 developmental domains and leading cognitive-stimulation sessions at assisted living and memory care facilities.
Once she finished her graduate degree, Ayanna-Moné found herself in North Carolina, where they worked for Vine & Branch Music Therapy, a private practice in Gastonia. Throughout her music therapy career, she has affirmed her love for working with clients with varying disabilities, older adults, and preschool-aged children. Ayanna-Moné also provides music lessons for voice, piano, and guitar at Gaston School of the Arts. In her spare time, she enjoys performing, doing makeup, good eats, and cuddling with her kitten, Chai Latte.
