Voices Together

Rachel Menges joined Voices Together in April of 2024 as a board-certified music therapist.

Prior to joining Voices Together, Rachel attained her degree in Music Therapy with a minor in Psychology from Charleston Southern University in December of 2022. During her schooling, she completed her internship at Prisma Health Hospital in different general medical and behavioral health units. Here, she primarily led music therapy sessions with teens and adults navigating different thought and mood disorders. After completing her internship, she continued her work in psychiatric care as a Music Therapist at Three Rivers Behavioral Health from January of 2023 to March of 2024. In her year there, she gained experience in identifying and responding to acute patient needs using music.

Over the past year, Rachel has developed a passion for using music to provide a safe space for people to use their voice. She is excited to continue this as she implements the VOICSS model to support her clients in developing communication and self-advocacy skills while empowering them to meet their goals.

In her free time, she enjoys being active, playing pickleball, learning new songs on guitar, and being with friends and family.

Fun Fact:

Rachel is a Charlotte native and is excited to be back in her hometown doing what she loves most!
