Voices Together

Bob has over 15 years of experience working in education, gaining his start as a Math Teacher for six years, an Assistant Principal for four years, and a Principal for seven years. He is the Executive Director of Secondary Instruction and Academic Programs for Chapel Hill-Carborro City Schools. Bob seeks to continue to develop the potential of the next generation of educators through Curriculum Development, Restorative Practices, and developing leaders who work with staff to provide relevant, creative, and culturally sensitive instruction. He is passionate about using data as an asset to guide instructional decisions while still thinking about the whole child. His philosophy is "Big ideas lead to big changes, and that it's OK to fail as long as you learn from your mistakes and build better for all students."

Bob received his Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Mathematics Teacher Education from Western Michigan University, Master of Education (MEd) in Curriculum and Instruction from Penn State, and both an MEd and Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership and Administration from Western Carolina University.
