Tanis joined Voices Together as a Music Therapist in January of 2026. Tanis is passionate about empowering individuals to advocate for themselves, especially those from marginalized communities. Tanis takes a culture-centered, humanistic approach to music therapy in order to promote a welcoming environment to everyone present.

Before joining the team at Voices Together, Tanis was a music therapy intern at Banner University Medical Center - Phoenix, where she had the opportunity to support people in different stages of their health and wellness journeys. Tanis enjoyed facilitating music therapy sessions to promote connection, autonomy and comfort.

Tanis is originally from Florida and moved to Charlotte to pursue her Bachelor’s degree. She graduated with her Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from Queens University of Charlotte in 2025.

Fun Fact:

Tanis loves to dance! She danced at a studio for 16 years and coached a color guard/majorette team for 3 years while in college.
