We’re proud to unveil our new brand video — a fresh look at who we are and what we do.
MoreCHAPEL HILL, NC – November 12, 2025 – The Divergent World Collective, Inc. (DWC) a global nonprofit organization and home to the world’s largest autism-specific content video library, announced today the appointment of Yasmine White, Founder of Voices Together, to its Board of Directors as Secretary.
White joins the Divergent World Collective, Inc. board – led by President and Board Chair Dr. Marlo Thurman – at a critical time as the organization expands its global reach and continues to serve as an independent, expert-driven voice in the rapidly evolving dialogue around autism.
“Yasmine has been an invaluable asset on our Advisory Board, particularly in the realm of music therapy, but her value to Divergent World Collective, Inc. is far greater,” said Dr. Thurman. “As we seated our new Board of Directors, we critically needed someone with solid, large-scale nonprofit board experience who understands governance and resource mobilization. Yasmine brings a wealth of expertise and connections that will be essential in keeping us on target as we grow.”
The Divergent World Collective, Inc. (evolved from the US Autism Association founded in 1995) has focused on providing expert-driven training and resources to support individuals, families, and professionals across the spectrum. Dr. Thurman took over as President and Chairman six years ago, and during the COVID-19 lockdown, she undertook a massive effort to preserve and expand the organization’s knowledge base through recorded content interviews.
Today, the DWC is the nonprofit home to the US Autism Association, US Autism World Alliance, World Autism Conference, and Divergent Learning World: An Online Professional Development Training Program. The US Autism Association’s Video Streaming Library holds more than 150 interviews featuring the world’s top leaders and highest-level experts in autism—making it the largest autism-specific content library on the planet.
“I’ve attended countless conferences, and the World Autism Conference was the only one that truly feels like a family—it has a genuine 'care about you' feel,” said White. “The Divergent World Collective is uniquely positioned as the only independent, expert-driven organization committed to covering any and every conversation about autism, ensuring we become the common-sense voice people can trust for answers.”
